Wishing // I was still on vacation with Jose in San Francisco, where the weather was 70 degrees and sunny and basically perfect. We spent lazy mornings in our hotel, and then filled the afternoons with visits to the Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods, Fisherman’s Wharf, and more. It was great. But alas, we flew home last night and it’s back to the real world today.
Hugging // Emma, who we missed a lot while we were gone. Every time I saw a little kid running around, I would think about how much fun Emma would have had seeing the Golden Gate Bridge, riding the cable cars, etc. (Buuuut…it was definitely nice to have 5 kid-free days too!)
Missing // My mom, who was here to stay with Emma and flew home this morning. It is always awesome to have her here and she is crazy helpful, to the point of leaving me somewhat embarrassed that I have so many things for her to help us out with. (Case in point: she took a bunch of stuff to Goodwill, got the oil changed in our car, cleaned up a huge pile of cardboard boxes in the garage, replaced a sad-looking plant with a pretty new one…and probably a bunch of other things I haven’t even noticed yet.)
Wading // Back into a full week of work. Turns out everyone else kept doing stuff while I was off playing, and now I have to catch up. So impolite of them! (Ha.)
