I finished this Wanderer’s Wife quilt top in December 2017 and it sat and sat and sat…so it is incredibly satisfying to finally see it done. And kudos to my quilt holder too. 😉

Sunday night binding while watching the Rockets win a playoff game. This is a UFO finish — anybody want to take a guess as to what the quilt top is or what year I made it? Hint: the quilt is loosely star-themed, and it was pre-covid. 🙈

“Well, obviously we need to go to NASA.” That’s basically what I said when @quiltfolk asked if there was anywhere besides my house that would be good for my photoshoot. 😆

Just two days before this, I had my final on-site job interview with Relativity. I didn’t know for sure what would happen, but I knew I felt energized and motivated by the opportunity. A couple weeks later, I made the decision to leave NASA. These photos remind me of that time of uncertainty but also great excitement, and I’m so happy to have this small record of what turned out to be a pivotal moment in my life.
