Want to join me for a fun, very low stakes monthly project this year?
It’s no secret that life is pretty full these days — not just for me but probably for a lot of you as well. I don’t have nearly as much sewing time as I’d like, and I can go days or weeks without touching my machine. But you know what is quick and easy to make, and can usually be done in 60 minutes or less?
Fabric postcards! ☺️
Each month this year, I’ll be making and releasing a block pattern that is specifically designed for postcards. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while and I’m committing to this being the year.
First up for January is this colorful diamonds block, which you can grab for free in my shop. The PDF file contains foundation paper piecing templates for a 4″ x 6″ finished block. This download contains templates only, but you can easily grab my always-free postcard tutorial for guidance on the rest of the postcard-making process.

The diamond block templates will be free for only this month, so make sure to grab it in the next two weeks. And while I’m offering this first one through my shop, for the rest of this year, I’ll be offering the free postcard block pattern only to my newsletter subscribers.
Let’s get mailing!

Thanks so much, Sarah! I really need a regular, doable, fun project on a regular basis to keep me motivated, and this is perfect 🙂 I’ve really enjoyed making your postcards before. And best wishes for an easy and great transition into your new job!
Thank you for the Diamonds pattern. I will be making postcards along with you.
This is awesome! I make a lot of postcards every year, over 100, and I often look through your cards for my inspiration.
