When it was first announced months ago that QuiltCon 2021 would be virtual, I wondered if I might not be as inclined to enter anything for consideration in the show. But it turns out that QuiltCon is always a great motivator!
This year I submitted 3 quilts for jurying, and have one additional quilt that is automatically included as a 2020 MQG Modern Monthly pattern.
I submitted Clair de Lune in the Minimalist Design category. I made this quilt in September in response to the Houston MQG’s minimalist challenge.
This is Clean Room, submitted to the Piecing category. I haven’t shared this finish here on the blog yet, since I finished it very close to this past Monday’s deadline. Soon!
I submitted Notes to Self in the MQG Fabric Challenge category. This may just be one of my all-time favorite makes. We’ll see if the jury agrees.
Ribbons was the MQG Modern Monthly pattern for June, and will automatically be included in the Quilt of the Month exhibit.
Seeing which quilts are juried into the show and which are given a pass is always interesting and potentially emotional. I’m hoping for success with at least one of the three that will be juried. Fingers crossed!
p.s. I’m doing a 31 day blogging challenge.

I like all your quilts! Especially Ribbons and Clair de Lune. Did you create patterns for them? Hope you win all the contests you enter. Thanks for sharing.

Ribbons is a pattern currently available to Modern Quilt Guild members on their site! I don’t currently have a pattern for Clair de Lune but maybe in the future.
