First, a wrap-up of my goals from spring:
- Start a 100 Day Project. Started! And nearly finished.
- Finish Trinket SAL and class. Done! I finished my top and the 3-part class I taught at Sparkly Elephant. I still need to quilt it though.
- Guild challenge. In work! The deadline for this was changed from June to July so it’s not due until our meeting on the 14th.
- Commissioned quilts. Done!
- Birthday quilt. Done!
- Make a quilt for the Pantone challenge. Done! (I didn’t get it quilted, but the top counted for the challenge so I’m counting it here too.)
- Make a mini quilt for the Cherrywood Fabrics Bob Ross challenge. Done!
- Also done:
- Pattern writing, graphic design and tech editing for several clients. (I’ve already matched my total earnings from last year and it’s only been 6 months, so that is pretty dang cool.)
- Taught 1 class at my local shop.
And now, goals for July-September:
- Finish my “ugly fabric challenge” mini quilt by our next guild meeting on July 14. I’m about 1/3 done with the top, then of course I’ll need to quilt and bind.
- Make a baby quilt for Jose’s friend’s baby. I bought a couple charm packs for this in May, and just need to pick a pattern. I know I want to do something simple so it’ll come together quickly.
- Finish the Central Pivot mini that I started in Kim Eichler-Messmer’s class at QuiltCon. I’ve got 6 blocks, so just need 3 more and I can sew them up into a nice 3×3 wall hanging.
- Finish at least 2 of my UFOs. I have plenty to choose from: my I-love-it-but-quilting-it-is-intimidating Gypsy Wife, my Barn Quilt BOM, Rainbow Triangles BOM and #100days100blocks (which haven’t been pieced into full tops yet), this spring’s Pantone challenge, and of course Trinket.
- Start organizing my guild’s charity quilt for the 2020 QuiltCon charity challenge.
It’s going to be a good summer!
