We had a nice, fairly low key 4th of July yesterday. We started the morning with a trip to the neighborhood pool. There were enough clouds to keep things relatively cool and the water felt great. We hung out around the house for the afternoon before picking up a few supplies at the grocery store, then headed over to Nassau Bay for a picnic and fireworks! It was both girls’ first true 4th of July fireworks experience. Charlotte was dozing off since it was late, but Emma loved it! It was a happy Independence Day all around.
(Also, even though I have no photos of Jose, I promise he was there for all of it! Photo-taking fail on my part.)

It does! I didn’t make it and it’s not really a quilted — just a printed picnic blanket I got at Target a few years ago.
