Going // On a date tonight! Woo! The daycare upped their “parents night out” offerings from every other month to once a month this year and I’m a big fan. I don’t even know what we’re doing yet, but even if it’s just our usual, it’s still a night out on our own without distraction. (And for the record, our “usual” is dinner out followed by wandering around Barnes & Noble until it’s time to pick up the kids. I know. We are wild and crazy over here.)
Enjoying // The end of a more relaxed week at work. February was a crazy month of flight readiness reviews. Between now and early April there are 4 vehicles scheduled to launch to the ISS — a Soyuz carrying 3 new crewmembers on March 18, a Cygnus cargo vehicle on March 23, a Progress cargo vehicle on March 31 and a SpaceX cargo vehicle on April 4. I can’t remember any recent time when the schedule has been quite so jam-packed, and it made February extremely hectic. March, thankfully, is looking much calmer.
Redecorating // My cubicle at work. I’ve always used space-related items as decor — pictures, montages from the shuttle missions I worked as a flight controller, etc — but I decided last week that it’s time for a change. I now have 3 mini quilts that I’ve received in swaps hanging on my cube wall, and I relocated my photos to the same area. I still have plenty of spacey stuff around, but now I have things that reflect my other interests too. (And room for more pictures and/or more quilts!)
Laughing // At the latest xkcd. Even after having two kids of my own, I never really know what to say about other peoples’ babies either.
Hoping // That Charlotte avoids whatever germs took down one of her fellow Room 0 babies this week. She’s 6 months old and hasn’t been sick once, which is a minor miracle as far as I’m concerned especially having been in daycare for 2 months now. (And now that I said that, I’m knocking on alllll the wood I can find.)

I am so going to use the “definitely much smaller than a regular person” one in the future!
