I was tossing around several ideas in my head for December goals…and then I went back to work on Monday. And after a mere 3 days back in the office, it is kicking. my. butt. I naively underestimated how big of an adjustment this week (and perhaps this month) would be.
So! Change of plans! I’m setting only four goals for this festive month and they should all be achievable.
Keep up with Couch to 5K. I successfully repeated Week 4 last week and had planned to move on to Week 5…but as previously mentioned, this week has been rather rough. By the time I get home from work, deal with dinner, and get the kids in bed I’m totally exhausted. I haven’t run since Saturday so this week is a bust. Last night I decided to just accept it, but I must get back on track starting this weekend.
Finish my 2015 One Little Word album. And pick a new word for next year! (Yep, I’m going to participate again next year.)
Make Emma a princess dress. This is my only sewing-related goal for the month, because it’s a Christmas present. When I mentioned my search for a pattern recently, a reader recommended the Candy Castle Princess Dress. That looked great, so I bought the pattern and plan to give it a go!
Have some holiday fun! This one kinda goes without saying, right? But I’m saying it anyway. Emma “gets it” this year and I’m so excited for Christmas lights, cookie decorating, tree trimming, and more.
