Enjoying // A partial flex Friday today. How nice that my first week back was a flex Friday week, eh? This morning I’m running a few errands without any children in tow and getting my first pedicure since August. Ahhhhh.
I do have to go in for a few hours this afternoon, but that’s actually ok since any extra hours I earn in the next 3 weeks mean less unpaid leave I have to take at the end of this month. (Maternity leave wiped out every bit of paid leave that I had…and more. Insert rant about parental leave policies in this country here.)
Feeding // Charlotte more and more. My mother-in-law (who’s been home with her this week) said she’s been searching for more after each bottle so hello 3-month growth spurt, it seems! She’s now getting six bottles a day, each with 5.5 ounces of formula, and is tipping the scales at ~13.5 pounds according to our rough estimate. She’s not as chunky as Emma was, but she’s still developing a nice little double chin.
Planning // To take a family photo this weekend so I can finish our Christmas cards and get them out the door. Anybody want to place bets on how difficult it will be to get a photo where Emma has a natural smile and Charlotte doesn’t look like a deer in the headlights? Fingers crossed!
Buying // Christmas presents already. This is earlier than my usual mid-month scramble, so I’m totally counting it as a win.
