I finished my niece’s baby quilt!!! And yes, that is deserving of three exclamation points since it was a 3-month project done in bits and pieces while Charlotte napped or after Emma was in bed. I sewed down the binding and added a label on Monday morning. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out and hope that little Elizabeth (and Katie and Joel) all like it. It’ll be going in the mail sometime this weekend. Here’s a little sneak peek:
With my motivation strong at the moment, I dove into piecing for my rainbow mini kaleidoscope quilt. My original plan had been to submit this to Quilt Con as part of the Modern Quilt Guild’s triangle ruler challenge…but submissions are due on Monday and it’s highly (HIGHLY) unlikely that I’ll be able to finish this by then amidst Thanksgiving and typical weekend activities.
Ah well. It’ll still make a great little mini quilt!

They are both gorgeous! That will make a stunning mini. Even if you don’t make the deadline you’ve still made something beautiful!

Congratulations on a finish! I hope that the recipients are excited to receive it and can feel all the love you poured into it. The Kaleidoscope quilt looks beautiful, and I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving. Visiting from WiP Wednesday. 🙂
