Day 4 of my 4-day weekend has arrived, and I’m already wondering where the time went! I actually managed to do everything on my Friday list of grand plans, and much more. On Friday I slept late, got a library card, watched a recorded episode of America’s Next Top Model (awful, yet I love it), bought two new pairs of shoes, had a yummy dinner at a tapas place in town called Oporto, and got supplies for both baking things and making things.
Two notes on the supply-gathering: I had to go to two different stores for pumpkin, since Target was totally out. Apparently there is a pumpkin shortage. Who knew? Also, Joann’s had a great sale going on this weekend, which was part of the reason I decided to buy my supplies on Friday, but also meant that there were about a zillion people in the store. On a Friday afternoon. I waited almost 45 minutes to get two small pieces of felt cut, which would have been really annoying but at least I could browse the store while I waited. If I hadn’t done that, I never would have found this in the 75% off section:
And who doesn’t need a butternut squash jack-o-lantern that’s holding its round stomach like some kind of Halloween Santa Claus?
That’s what I thought.
