Our most profound joy is often experienced during ordinary moments. What was one of your most joyful ordinary moments this year?
I’m pretty easy to please. This is a trait that I really like about myself for precisely the reason this question is getting at — when you’re easy to please, it’s not hard to be happy! So it sounds cheesy, but I’m not really exaggerating when I say that I have joyful moments every day.
I love making my cute husband smile. Singing along when a good song comes on the radio. Awesome weekends. Stopping at Buc-ee’s (a gas station and so much more!) on the way to and from Corpus Christi. Really good runs. All the cute little girls in their holiday dresses at the Nutcracker.
Or…Jen and Gavin’s kid COMPLETELY pulverizing his cake at the twins’ 1st birthday party:
Now THAT is some joy.

This month, I’m participating in Reverb10, which charges you to “reflect on your year and manifest what’s next.” There’s a different prompt every day.

Awesome 🙂 Glad you caught it on video, it makes me laugh to see it again. I remember a few minutes later Drake finally figured out it was cake and started licking the plate. 🙂
