JSC is laid out much like a college campus, with dozens of buildings. My Russian class is in a different building so each morning I’ve walked through a big parking lot to get there. There are some trees at the end of each row, and it dawned on me this morning that in the past four weeks, I’ve seen fall happen right before my eyes. A couple weeks ago, I was admiring the trees and the way the color changed from green on the bottom to a bright red on the top. It’s unusual for trees to actually have much color down here, so these really stood out.
Alas, this is what the trees looked like this morning. I guess fall has actually arrived in Houston. And since we just had the winter solstice, it’s only a few months late…
