So! This photo accurately depicts the current state of my sewing table. There are 3 different projects here, not to mention the pile of fabric just out of frame that’s destined for a fourth project. My eyes are bigger than my stomach, etc etc etc.
First of all — my Rainbow Kaleidoscope Mini is there and still unfinished, so obviously I didn’t make the Quilt Con deadline. But that’s ok. There’s always next year, and I’m looking forward to finishing it and finding a good spot to hang it up here at home.
Second — in the last week I’ve been working on two gifts instead. The monsters (one blue, one green) are pajama eaters that I’m making as kid presents. I bookmarked this pattern years ago, and am finally getting back to it. They are coming together pretty easily. I’m waiting on another bag of polyfil, but once that’s here I should have them both wrapped up by the weekend.
And finally — in the lower right corner of that photo is a Candy Castle Princess Dress pattern all printed and taped and sitting on my cutting mat. As soon as I finish the pajama eaters I’ll be diving into that. I’m honestly not sure if I’ll be able to get it done by Christmas but I’m going to give it my best shot.
Nothing like waiting until December to start sewing gifts, right?

I love the pajama monsters. I’ve been looking for something to make my 9 year old son and that might be it.
