I couldn’t go to Hawaii without finding a quilt shop, right? The islands have such a strong quilting tradition — I saw many beautiful examples and n display and in shops. ❤️ Looking forward to playing with these goodies from @quiltpassions and @kilaueakreations.

Spring break photo dump from the Big Island of Hawaii! Our trip had a little of everything, from sun to rain to wind to a literal volcanic eruption. 🌋 The big island is big — go figure — and there’s still more I hope to see someday. ❤️

Hello! I took this selfie on Monday and was going to post it a day late for #IGQuiltFest…but then I didn’t and now I’m posting it 6 days late, whee! 😁

I’m Sarah. I’m a quilter, designer, tech editor, parent, spouse, baseball and F1 fanatic, big fan of quilt math, and legitimate rocket scientist*.

I live in Houston, where it’s usually too hot for sweatshirts so I was very excited to pick up this MQG t-shirt hoodie at QuiltCon a couple weeks ago. A not-hot hoodie = best of both worlds!

What else do you wanna know about me?

*I used to work at NASA but not actually on rockets, so I always said I was an aerospace engineer. Which is true. But now I have a job where I DO work on a rocket so yeah, I’m gonna embrace the “rocket scientist” part at last. 🚀
