I’m thrilled to be teaching at QuiltCon 2026 next February! The full schedule was announced yesterday so you can start planning what workshops and lectures you may want to take…and mark your calendars for August 20, when registration for MQG members.
(Be warned, however, that QuiltCon workshops sell out VERY quickly. Be flexible and have backup options, and know that QuiltCon is still an amazing event to attend even if you don’t take a single class!)

I’ll be teaching 3 different workshops (and 5 total sessions) and teaching a great mix of fun stuff:
Spell It Out is a new offering from me centered around my Alpha quilt pattern. I’ll cover several different curved piecing techniques, including different skill-level-based options for constructing the letter blocks. You get to combine techniques and blocks as you wish to make your own message come to life in quilt form! (And if you’re not sure what you want to make/spell, I’ll have a sample layout you can try.)
Illustrator 101 is another new offering that I’ve wanted to teach for quite a while. Adobe Illustrator is the industry standard for creating vector-based graphics, and it’s what I’ve used to design my quilts from the very beginning. This workshop is truly beginner-level — no prior knowledge is necessary. I’ll cover basic tools with a focus on those that are most useful for quilt design, and give you a chance to practice those new skills with several design exercises. (We’ll be using the desktop/laptop version of Illustrator, not the iPad version, so you’ll need to bring your laptop with Illustrator installed.)
Happy Mail is my popular quilted postcard workshop and I’m excited to bring it back to QuiltCon for the third time. I’ll go over the postcard-making process and talk lots of tips and tricks, and we’ll make some wonderful postcards together!
I hope to see you in Raleigh next year!
