But first…let’s meet this year’s judges!

Judges
We’re thrilled to introduce three accomplished quilters as our panel of judges for the 2025 challenge: Brittany Lloyd, Andrea Tsang Jackson, and Veruschka Zarate!

Brittany Lloyd is the quilter and pattern designer behind Lo & Behold Stitchery. She loves using bold colors and striking geometrics to create quilt designs that are both modern and timeless. Brittany also loves teaching others how to quilt and grow their skills through her blog and online quilting classes. She lives in Black Mountain, North Carolina with her husband Peter and their new rescue puppy, Ruby Sue.

Andrea Tsang Jackson is a textile artist and quilt designer. After working in various design fields and settings ranging from architecture to museums, the quilting medium called to her. With her art, Andrea strives to push the limits of the quilting medium by exploring scale and dimension and moving traditionally domestic objects into the public realm. Her work often celebrates community and collaboration, and explores ideas of belonging. Andrea’s newest book, Quilting: A Modern Creative Journey Through an Age-Old Craft, was released in February 2025 with Nine Ten Publications.

Veruschka Zarate, the award-winning quilter behind Pride & Joy Quilting, specializes in large-scale, high-detailed foundation paper piecing. She enjoys sharing her passion for quilting through workshops and has been fortunate to receive prestigious recognitions for her work. Her vibrant and empowering designs aim to inspire and connect with quilting communities worldwide
Week 2 – Fabric Pull
If you are following our timeline, this week is all about your fabric selections! How are you building your Mocha Mousse palette? Are you using solids, or prints, or both? Are you working with a monotone mocha mousse palette, or are you bringing other hues into the mix? Are you working from your stash, buying new fabric, or maybe even dyeing your own? We want to know!
Share your thoughts in the comments or on Instagram by tagging us @pantonequiltchallenge and using our challenge hashtag #PantoneQuiltChallenge2025.
Week 1 Highlights
Elizabeth and I loved seeing all of your posts about challenge inspiration last week! Here are a few that caught our eye. Click on any photo to head over to each maker’s Instagram feed.

Love the judges they are all so inspiring. Please check the fabric pull paragraph. It refers to last year’s color. Thanks for what you do.
Thanks for that catch — I updated the color!
The paragraph still refers to a monotone peachy palette!
