I’ve got another finish to share as I burn through the 10-ish quilt tops I have in my sewing room that had never been quilted!
I started this version of my Pathfinder pattern in fall 2020 to support a relaunch of that pattern. I had only made the quilt in solids at that point, so I went in the completely opposite direction for this version and called it my Maximalist Pathfinder. (I’ve since made two other versions of this quilt in print fabrics that you can see here and here.)
After finishing the blocks and assembling the top, this one has been sitting on a shelf for the last few years…until now! The patterns on the fabrics was already busy enough, so for the quilting I wanted to use a fairly simple all-over pantograph that would add texture but not distract too much from the fabrics and the geometric lines of the arrow shapes. I ended up choosing Wishbone from the Longarm League, sized fairly large with a pattern height of ~9″, but then with the rows offset and nested together.
I’m really happy with the result, and to have another quilt top finally finished!
The stats:
- Quilt measures 59″ x 59″.
- Pattern is Pathfinder by me!
- Fabrics are the Wish collection by Carrie Bloomston/Windham Fabrics.
- Backing and binding is Widescreen by Carolyn Friedlander.
- Batting is Quilters Dream Select White Poly.
- Pieced with Aurifil 50 wt thread in #2600 (Dove).
- Quilted on my APQS Millie with Glide thread in Linen.
- Pantograph is Wishbone by Jess Zielger/Longarm League.

Great choice for the quilting motif! From a distance all we can see is the design and bold prints and up close size and texture adds to the interesting story of the quilt. 🙂
