I’ve come across two significant errors in my Broken Zig Zag pattern recently. I discovered one in August, and made updates, and found the second one earlier today. Both were brought to my attention by makers, which I greatly appreciate!
It’s difficult to write a quilt pattern that is error-free. I’ve learned this from my experience both as a pattern writer, and a tech editor for others! I also know that it is difficult to spot errors in my own work, so when I write my own patterns, I always have them edited by someone else.
One of the errors in Broken Zig Zag was overlooked during the tech editing process, and the other is one that I accidentally introduced when correcting the pattern after tech editing. Argh!
I uploaded a corrected pattern to my shop yesterday, and if you purchased a digital PDF from that site, you should have gotten an email notification that a new file was available.
If, however, you purchased a PDF copy via Etsy, or a print copy from me or from a store — please contact me, and I’d be happy to send you an updated pattern.
Thanks to those who alerted me to these errors!
