Story time! Back in August, our family happened to catch a re-run of Shark Tank that included the wife-and-husband team that created The Woobles. I’ve seen these cute little crochet creatures for years, but had never tried them myself. My kids were totally captivated, and The Woobles advertised that their kits were totally beginner-friendly, so we each picked out one (a dinosaur for Emma, an owl for Charlotte, a narwhal for Jose, and a bumblebee for me) and placed an order.
Fast forward a few months, and y’all, I am now low-key obsessed with crochet amigurumi.
So far I’ve made the bee and owl and dinosaur — dinosaur not pictured because Emma has been taking it to school in her backpack! Jose is halfway through his narwhal, but in the meantime I’ve picked up several more kits AND their advent calendar. (They came out with some kits for licensed characters this fall and I couldn’t resist!)
I made the polar bear (with scarf!) two weeks ago, and finished the Christmas tree (from the advent calendar) last night. As part of the advent calendar, I’ve also made a tiny Santa sack, a tiny wreath, a tiny bell, and more. Emma is currently working on a reindeer.
The bee was the first one I made, and also the easiest — that wasn’t planned but worked out well! The dinosaur has been the most difficult animal, and the Christmas tree has been the most difficult piece overall, and adding the branches involved learning several new stitches I hadn’t done before.
Still to come? A yeti, a moose, Snoopy and Woodstock, and Dumbledore and Fawkes. I’m well on my way to a small army of amigurumi!

Looks like fun! I am tempted to take up knitting again, and your crocheting is pushing me more in that direction.
