It’s week 3 of the 2023 Pantone Quilt Challenge! If you’re just learning about the challenge or need a reminder:
All participants are free to work at their own pace, and the link-up will be open May 8-15. If you need some additional prodding and/or motivation, we’ve laid out a handy schedule for you!
Week 3 – On the Cutting Mat
If you are following our timeline, this week is all about cutting! Are you carefully cutting or doing some improvisational slice-and-dice? How to you determine how much fabric you need and plan your cutting layouts? Have any cutting tips or tricks to share with the rest of the challenge participants? We want to know!
Share your thoughts in the comments or on Instagram using our challenge hashtag #PantoneQuiltChallenge2023.
Week 2 Highlights
Elizabeth and I loved seeing all of your fabric pulls last week! Here are a few that caught our eye. Click on any photo to head over to each maker’s Instagram feed.

Of the entire rainbow, red is my least fav (sorry Red – you’re too loud for me) but love the way you gave it some “softeners”. Thanks, glad you enjoyed D. C. My family lives outside of D. C. and we always find a new treasure!

It’s not red, it’s viva magenta! But I hear ya, and even if it’s not your favorite color there are definitely ways to bring it in without being overwhelming. And yes! So many great things to see and do in DC!

So excited about this challenge. While pink is not a favorite color of mine, I will make a small quilt for my granddaughter. By chance, did you formerly blog on Blogger? If so, it is good to have found you here.
