I officially finished the cross stitch piece I started 9 months ago and finished stitching in December! Woohoo!
This pattern is “Tiles” from Etsy seller Axebe. I came across it last spring as I was looking for something fun and modern. I wrote a bit more about the stitching process back in July, so this post is mainly photos of the finished piece.
After finishing the piece, it needed a quick bath to rinse off a bit of grime from having been handled for 6+ months. Here’s a peek at that process via an Instagram reel that I made!
I thought I might have a frame in the closet that worked, and I was right! This 8″ white frame was perfect. I removed the glass — it wouldn’t fit with the glass still in place — and mounted the stitching on a piece of foam core board. It’s definitely a quick and dirty framing job, but it’s good enough for my purposes.
I’m happy to have this piece done and decorating my wall!
