Registration is open for the QuiltFest Virtual Schoolhouse #3, and I’m excited to be participating in this event in November! This is an entirely virtual event, open to anyone. I’ll be teaching two 3-hour workshops and would love to have you join me.
SH032 – Quilted Fabric Postcards
My Quilted Fabric Postcards workshop will run on Wednesday, November 2 from 9am – 12pm central US time. We’ll cover my process for making quilted fabric postcards and discuss different material options and finishing techniques. I will share tips and tricks learned from making nearly 200 postcards. All students can expect to finish 1-2 postcards.
Note that this is the FIRST TIME this workshop has been available to the general public in a virtual setting. If you’ve been waiting for your chance to take it, now’s the time!
The cost for this workshop is $50, and an optional supply kit is available for an additional $25. The registration deadline is October 31 — but note that if you want to purchase the optional kit, you must sign up by October 12!
SH033 – Foundation Paper Piecing for Beginners
FPP for Beginners will run on Friday, November 4 from 9am – 12pm central US time. We’ll be covering the basics of this technique using my Notes to Self pattern, which is an approachable, beginner-friendly FPP pattern with 6 unique blocks in 2 block sizes. We’ll walk through the pattern and construction of the quilt, discuss alternate layout options and quilting motifs, and construct at least 1-3 blocks. Students will then be fully prepared to finish the quilt at home on their own.
The cost for this workshop is $60, which includes a copy of the PDF pattern. The registration deadline is October 31.
