I send out an email newsletter every month with pattern announcements and sneak peeks of stuff I’m working on. At the end, I always include a list of “good stuff” — things I’ve come across online that were helpful or interesting or otherwise eye-catching. Sometimes these are quilting, sometimes they’re more about creativity in general, sometimes they’re totally unrelated to sewing at all.
Debbie from A Quilter’s Table posted a list of the most popular links from her newsletter, The Scrap Basket. It’s one of my favorite newsletters — and I subscribe to a LOT of newsletters so that’s saying something. I highly recommend subscribing!
I’m stealing Debbie’s idea and took a peek at my own most popular newsletter links from the past year.
- Super clever custom quilty rubik’s cubes by Alison Gamm.
- Tricia Young’s version of my Pathfinder quilt, made with Giucy Giuce fabrics.
- Public art project or vandalism? A couple in South Korea inadvertently defaced a graffiti artist’s work.
- Serpentine Hat pattern by Elbe Textiles. Still need to make one of these for myself!
- Anna Graham’s Firefly Tote pattern. Here’s the one I made!
- Hocus Pocus pquilt attern by Corinne Sovey. I shared this one for Halloween.
- Cotton & Joy’s free Witchy Feet quilt block pattern. Another Halloween one!
- A bit of comedy via embroidered baseball hats by Joe Mande.
- The lovely ribbon skirt made by Agnes Woodward and worn by Deb Haaland for her swearing in as US Secretary of the Interior.
- Rainbow pebbles (!) in Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park.
p.s. If these kinds of fun links are your jam, I’d love to have you join my email list! New subscribers also receive a free pattern.
p.p.s. I’ll be sending out a NEW free pattern for 2022 in January so you might wanna subscribe soon!
p.p.p.s. I’m doing a 31 day blogging challenge.
