When I wrapped up my 100 day project in late October — with 161 postcards, natch — I turned them into a book! I shared it on Instagram yesterday with a fun little video:
To answer a few of the questions I got:
- It includes all the cards from the “official” portion of my project, so 161 total, starting in April and ending with the VOTE postcard from late October.
- I had it printed via Chatbooks. (Not sponsored.) They connect to Instagram so it was super easy to pull the photos and captions directly from my feed. If I’d had to edit photos or do the layout myself, this project might have never gotten off my to-do list — so easy was key!
- I edited the captions to remove all the hashtags at the end, but otherwise it’s straight from my Instagram feed.
- I have a list of where each card went but didn’t incorporate it here. I wish I’d thought of that! Maybe I’ll just write it in with a sharpie…
- This is a keepsake for me. I don’t plan to sell them. Because of the number of pages, the book was $130 even after a 20% off coupon. I know there are ways to do something similar at a cheaper price point, but not without additional time and effort. That said, hey, if you’re a publisher, hit me up! It could be a really nice coffee table book…..
p.s. I’m doing a 31 day blogging challenge.
