I’ll be releasing my new Spinning Star Tree Skirt pattern on Monday, and one of the unique feature of this skirt is that it is an octagon with an opening up one side. This means there are two different corner angles to bind — seven angles that are obtuse (greater than 90 degrees) and two that are acute (less than 90 degrees).
If you haven’t tackled binding these angles before, never fear! The process is almost identical to binding a “normal” 90 degree corner and is totally doable for even a beginning quilter. In the video below, I show a quick demo of how to apply binding to all 3 corner types.
