Triangles at Play is one of the very first patterns I wrote nearly 5 years ago, and is still one of my favorites. With the closure of Bluprint and the online shop I had there, I’ve been working to refresh several of my older patterns and I’m happy to report that the revamped Triangles at Play pattern is now available in my shop!

This pattern is perfect for a fat quarter bundle, and it looks great in every color scheme I’ve seen so far. I made the quilt shown above in 2017 from a bundle of Lily & Loom fabrics (which are no longer sold). You can never go wrong with blues and greens!

The pattern was previously for a throw size quilt only, but with the revamp I’ve now included additional instructions for baby and twin sizes! That gives a lot more options to make it fit your space or intended recipient.

This is a more recent version, made last year as a pair of memory quilts for my friend and her mom. The patterned and bright solid fabrics are all shirts that belonged to her father, which were complemented by several shades of Essex linen.

This is the “original” Triangles at Play quilt, made in 2016 for my friend’s baby. There were some busy prints in this space-themed fabric bundle, but they look great in this quilt when balanced by some coordinating solids.
These three versions are all very different, but look great in their own way! I’ve already got another version in mind, and can’t wait to see what you make too.
It looks like a great pattern – simple but versatile.
