Well, there’s a week and a half until Christmas and I have half of a Christmas quilt top made. Better than nothing! I don’t know if I’ll finish this by the 25th, but if not, I’ll finish it up by January and have it ready for next year.

I made not one, not two, but THREE boneheaded cutting mistakes with one of my fabrics, and of course it was the directional tree print! Ugh! It’s been a while since I made cutting mistakes so I guess I was due. Fortunately, I had time yesterday to run back down to Park Avenue Yarns/Clothyard and pick up another half yard.

This pattern involves joining strips together at an angle. I prefer to do this the easy way but cutting rectangles instead of angled template pieces, so I have a bunch of bonus triangles! These would make a nice HST pillow if I get super motivated. We’ll see!
p.s. I’m doing a 31 day blogging challenge.
Oh man, I totally do that, too. I can go for a long time doing ok on cutting but once I get on a streak of messing up, I make a lot of errors. I’m glad you could run out and get more fabric locally!
I’m glad I’m not the only one, I guess!
