Happy Halloween! Every year we look forward to hitting the local pumpkin patch to get some photos and pick out a couple good pumpkins for carving. But when we went last Sunday…
…NO PUMPKINS.
Apparently there was an early freeze in New Mexico, where a lot of Houston-area pumpkins come from, and there was a pumpkin shortage! Later that day we went to HEB — still no pumpkins — and finally Kroger, where we bought literally the last pumpkin on the shelf.
But! The pumpkin patch still had all their photo opportunities up so we stayed long enough to snap a few. I mean, this was the 8th year! And hopefully next year there will be actual pumpkins again.
