There are so many year-end wrap-up games and memes that make the rounds every December…and I am here for ALL OF THEM. I can’t help it — I love this kind of stuff.
Year of Colour scans your Instagram feed and identifies your most popular colors based both on how often you post and how many “likes” various photos get. That’s mine above! I really had no idea what it might look like, and was pleasantly surprised to see so many hues represented.
There are quite a few blues, probably influenced by my #100days100blocks posts. And there are a lot of beige/tan tones, driven by both my wood floor that often appears in the background of sewing photos and the skin tones in selfies and photos of my kids and family.
Another fun feature of this site is that you can play around with a few different options that lets you play with the color dots. For instance, here’s what it looks like to focus the most saturated colors in the center:
And here’s a center focused on the brightest colors:
And of course I need a rainbow arrangement:
Super fun! I play to try a few other options as well, including narrowing the focus to only a month or so of photos, or decreasing the number of dots that appear. I think this could be a really fun way to play with color palettes and draw creative inspiration!
p.s. I’m doing a 31 day blog writing challenge!
