We have been reading “Go Dog Go” a lot lately:
Charlotte: “Look Mommy! The dog party!”
Me: “Yeah! Charlotte, do you want to go to a dog party?”
C: “No.”
Me: “No? Why not?”
C: “Dogs will WICK me.”

A monologue:
Charlotte: “I’m in charge! No Emma, you not in charge, you don’t have the coloring paper, I have the coloring paper, I’m in charge! Emma you in big trouble.”

While sitting in the church pew waiting for Emily’s quinceanera to begin:
Charlotte: “When is the show gonna start?”
—
Jose: “Where’s the car? I don’t know!”
Charlotte: “I guess we’ll have to walk to get Emma!”
—
Jose, to me: “Where are the keys? Don’t you have them?”
Charlotte: “Oh no! The keys is lost!”
—
Me: “Oh no the wind blew over those (inflatable) snowmen!”
Emma: “Charlotte, say no no wind!”
Charlotte: “I’m gonna BITE you wind!”
