I’m excited to share that my block — Vector — was sent out today to all Modern Quilt Guild members as the block of the month for March! If you’re an MQG member, you can access the templates and tutorial on their website.
This block definitely gives a not-so-subtle nod to my engineering background. Vectors are quantities that have both magnitude (size, or length) and direction, and they’re usually depicted as arrows. (Although I also see paper planes in this block, which is another fun interpretation!)
The block is foundation paper pieced, but definitely beginner-friendly and would be perfect as a first try with that technique. There are several awesome ideas for using this block in a full quilt provided on the MQG page, including the two above.
Enjoy!
