I got some exciting news yesterday — I’m one of the 10 finalists for this year’s Craftsy Quilt Designer Fellowship! I’ve been slowly building my quilt pattern and graphic design business over the last couple years, and this year (the third time they’ve offered it) seemed like a good time to throw my hat into the ring. If I win, I’ll receive $1,500 to build their brand, a new sewing machine, and — the biggest boost in my opinion — a booth at Fall Quilt Market. Having a booth there would be a huge step for me in getting my patterns out for wider distribution through both online and physical shops.
I put together my application a few weeks ago and am pretty thrilled to be a finalist along with some other fantastic quilt designers. From now through Friday, you can vote for your favorite, and the voting results will be used to help the judging team choose the final winner.
