As part of the fun, I whipped up a FREE pattern to share with Cheryl’s readers and thus with you too. This Star in a Star block was one I kept coming back to during my Barn Quilt Block of the Month project, but something about the asymmetry just didn’t quite seem to fit in with the rest of my blocks. But the silver lining is obviously that it makes a great “bonus” block for me to share for free! The pattern is traditionally pieced (no need to fuss with paper piecing here) and makes a 12″ finished block.
