I was working on my Gypsy Wife quilt the last time I posted one of these status and guess what — I’m STILL working on my Gypsy Wife quilt! Ha! There have been a lot of other things coming off my sewing machine in the last few months as well, but I’ve stuck with the Gypsy Wife sew-along pace and will have a finished quilt top by Christmas. Here’s a look at several more blocks, and a couple of these photos even include sneak peeks of the various sections that I’ve started to assemble:
I think I’m going to be pretty happy with how this one turns out!
In other sewing news, I need to figure out how to make a hanging sleeve for my L Is For… quilt that will be going to QuiltCon as part of the Quilt of the Month exhibit. Anyone got a favorite tutorial for that to recommend? (And if I’m lucky, maybe I’ll need to make a hanging sleeve for one of my two entries into the juried portion! I should hear something by the end of the month so I’m anxiously awaiting that!)
In the last couple months I’ve also worked on two more patterns that will eventually be published by Craftsy. One pattern is complete, and the other is still in work. I won’t be able to talk any more about those until spring and summer, but they’ve both been fun projects to tackle. I’m also thinking that 2018 would be a good year to submit a design or two to a quilting magazine! I haven’t done that before but would like to try.
p.s. I’m doing a 31 day blog writing challenge!

This is a pretty good description of how I make my hanging sleeves: http://www.bluemoonriver.com/assets/quiltsleeve.pdf

Thanks!! Any advice on fabric choice? Should it match the backing, or is it ok to use whatever fabric I’ve got on hand?
