Let’s see…what have I been working on in the few weeks since last time?
A lot!!
First and foremost, my quilt was featured as the Modern Quilt Guild’s Quilt of the Month for May! I’m still flying high from the cool accomplishment of having my pattern selected as one of twelve for the year.
I also finished this awesome mini as a pattern test of Kate Basti’s Hold Fast pattern.
I’m on track in the Long Time Gone sew-along, and still managing to stay about a week ahead. Last Friday I laid all the blocks I’ve made so far out on the floor for the first time to get an idea of how it’s looking — and I love it! So much scrappy blue goodness. I’ve never made a truly scrappy quilt like this before, and I can’t wait to see it come together in the end.
This week I’m hard at work on another version of my Triangles at Play quilt. Who can resist a nice stack of neatly trimmed half square triangles?
And last but not least, last week I stitched up my Barn Quilt Block of the Month block for May! I should have the pattern up in my Craftsy shop by the end of the week.

Your Long Time Gone blocks look wonderful together! Congratulations again on the well deserved QOM honor, too. 🙂

Thanks Yvonne! It was fun to lay them all out — I hadn’t actually done that until now. I’m happy to see they work well together.

Hi Sarah! Your quilt that was featured is just stunning. Even in the small thumbnail I thought WOWEE – I need to see that quilt more closely. Really nice – I love the colors. ~smile~
