Another Halloween has come and gone with fun for all! Emma was Owlette (from the Disney Jr show PJ Masks) and Charlotte was a strawberry (also interpreted by some as a watermelon). Cutest Owlette and strawberry/watermelon I’ve ever seen!
Emma and Charlotte got to trick-or-treat yesterday morning at school, with Charlotte making the rounds inside the daycare and Emma hopping on the bus with her friends to gather gobs of candy from enthusiastic NASA employees stationed between a few of the office buildings.
Last night, we of course capped things off with trick-or-treating around our new neighborhood last night. We ran into our friends — who are now also our neighbors — literally as we walked out our front door and ended up circling the block with them. Charlotte came along in her pink push car and loved watching the big kids run back and forth from the street to the neighbors’ front doors.
This afternoon when Emma got home from school, she sadly told me that she didn’t get to go trick-or-treating again. “Not until next year,” I said. “But fortunately there are plenty of other holidays between now and then — and I think we probably have enough candy in our house right now to last at least six months!”
Happy Halloween indeed!
