She often has a cup of chocolate milk before brushing her teeth and going to bed. She knows how to spoon Nestle Quik into her cup but Jose or I has to limit the amount.
Emma: “Mommy, it’s not very brown!”
Me: “Emma, that’s very brown. I think it has enough chocolate.”
(she takes a sip)
Emma: “I think it tasted a little more like normal milk.”

Me: “Do you want a cake cone or a sugar cone?”
Emma: “A sugar cone!”
…
Emma: “Sugar cones poke inside our bodies. They are so pokey.”

In response to some post boo-boo TLC:
Emma: “I did a lot of things! I watched Shimmer & Shine and ate ice cream. Maybe if I get another boo-boo I’ll get to do all those things again!”

Emma: “Mommy, I love your style.”
Me: “Wow thanks! I love your style too.”
Emma: “Style means you have beautiful clothes on.”
Me: “Well, I can’t argue with that.”

Emma: “On the iPad we can watch whatever we want.”
Me: “That’s true, you can pick. You’re very lucky. When I was a kid, we didn’t have iPads.”
Emma: “Did you cry?”

I have to document this cute mispronunciation just so I don’t forget. Instead of “made” Emma says “moke” or “moked” as in:
“Mommy look what I moked at school!”
“I moke that drawing!”
“Can I have one of those cookies that we moked?”
I have no idea where this one came from, but I haven’t made any real effort to correct. I continue to say made, she says moke, and we all understand each other.
