Here’s how I did in August…
Move. Done! There’s still some unpacking to be done, but really just the study and sewing room.
Get our current/soon-to-be-old house on the market. Done! A “for sale” sign went up in front of the old house today and I’m feeling simultaneously happy and sad. I’m also crossing my fingers that we get an offer quickly and will accept any and all positive house-selling vibes you’d like to send my way!
Plan a “party” for Charlotte’s birthday. Done! We’ve having some friends over on Saturday for a 1st birthday party that’s also doubling as a small housewarming party. The plan is extremely low key — snacks, cake and playing in the backyard or at the park next door.
And here’s what I’m tackling in September…
Start 30 Days of Quilt Design. I’m joining late but the goal is actually any 30 days between the beginning of August and Halloween so I have plenty of time! I’ve been thinking about creating a few more patterns, so this will be a fun way to get my creative juices flowing.
Finish unpacking. After the stressful process of moving, I’m realllly ready to get settled in. Getting the final boxes opened up and things put away would really help, and would let me go into October — one of my favorite months — without any lingering move stuff hanging over my head!
August was a doozy so I’m just gonna end it with those two. One fun and one practical!
