Shaking // My head in slight disbelief at the realization that Charlotte is already 9 months old. The draft post I had nearly finished for her 9 month letter is currently in limbo along with the another 9.5 months of blog posts thanks to issues with my host. They have not been super helpful…but I also haven’t had time this week to spend on any in-depth troubleshooting. I hope to recover all those posts this weekend.
Working // Like crazy, but also realizing that I am currently at my limit of what I can handle in my job. Several different tasks/items/issues have converged and I’m struggling mightily to keep my head above water. I’m just doing the best I can, and I do think (hope) that things will calm down in a couple weeks.
Needing // A day off, but alas, I’m spending this flex Friday catching up on all the little things I had to shove off my plate earlier in the week. Hopefully I’ll be able to wrap up by early afternoon and get at least a couple hours to relax in my silent house.
Thinking // About several tips and “lessons learned” that I picked up this week as I helped interview candidates for an open position in my group. It was the first time I’ve ever been on that side of the table — as an interviewer instead of interviewee — and it was enlightening.
Stitching // Charlotte’s stocking as I ease into my annual 30 days of creativity. I’ve been working on it just enough to keep a Christmas finish within the realm of possibility, but I need to step it up a bit in the next few months if I want to make absolutely sure that I finish in time for it to be used this year.
Sometime, I want to hear your tips and lessons learned about interviewing people!
Being an interviewer is one of my favourite parts of my job… I love the feeling you get when you know a candidate is a great fit… plus, I think it will strengthen my skills as an interviewee in the future! I’d love to hear what you learned!
