Here’s how I did in April…
So, April was pretty much a bust in the goals department. Do the Mighty Lucky monthly challenge. Nope. Change our evening routine. I left work a bit earlier a few times but mostly just sat in traffic stewing again. Incorporate a non-cardio item into my exercise routine. Since finishing Couch to 5K I’ve barely exercised at all.
Check 5 more items off the house updates list. Whew! I managed this one at least. Most of my “updates” this month really involved cleaning and organizing. I went through our TV console and got rid of a bunch of miscellaneous crap, went through all of Emma’s toys and got rid of junk and stuff she doesn’t touch, styled the shelves in our living room (I use the word “styled” in a very loose sense), rearranged our kitchen cabinets and countertops, and redecorated the shelf above our kitchen sink.
And here’s what I’m tackling in May…
Check 5 more items off the house updates list. This month I took care of some low-hanging fruit so it’s back to bigger items, or things that take more time and effort on my part. I haven’t decided for sure, but I may tackle the gallery wall I want to make in our bonus room, or tackle our back patio.
Give this blog a facelift. I wrote a guest post for another blog that will be published at the end of May, and I’d like to have my own space updated by then. I’ve been playing around with a very simple theme and making a few modifications so the end of the month should be very doable.
I can’t really come up with anything else that gets me excited, which is probably a sign to scale back in the goal department for a month. So that’s it for now!
