Fun fact: I was born on Easter Sunday, but the irregularity of where the holiday falls each year means it’s pretty rare for them both to fall on the same day. Even having them on the same weekend has only happened once before, and it made this year especially fun.
Saturday was a very nice day. We had cupcakes in the afternoon, and then my mother-in-law stayed with the kids while Jose took me out to dinner and the symphony. The concert was part of their pops series and featured Matthew Morrison (of Glee fame) singing a wide variety of showtunes both old and new. I really enjoyed it!
We spent Easter relaxing at home for most of the day, and then went over to a friends’ house for dinner and an egg hunt. Holidays are twice as hectic with kids, but they’re also twice as fun.
I won’t ever have another Saturday birthday + Easter Sunday combination in my lifetime, but I definitely enjoyed this one!
