There’s another round of the Blogger’s Quilt Festival going on! In the “Applique Quilts” category, I’m entering the Y’all mini quilt made earlier this year as part of a Texas-themed swap. (You can read my original post about it here.)
The design was based on an image my partner included in her inspiration mosaic. The letters and cowboy boots were all made using Shannon Brinkley’s scrappy bits applique method which was really fun to do!
I appliqued the letters to a white pieced background using a simple satin stitch, and kept the quilting minimal.
