August goals coming soon. In the meantime, here’s how I did in July…
Plan Emma’s birthday party. The party is Saturday and we’re nearly set! We are indeed doing it at a local gym (although a different location than last year). I went super low key and did an evite instead of an actual invitation — and nearly everyone invited says they’re coming! That’s 16 kids! It’s going to be madness. We went to Party City over the weekend and let Emma pick out a theme for plates and party hats. (She/we chose the minions.) I ordered a cake from HEB yesterday. I’m going to put favor bags together tonight. Third birthday? Let’s do this!
Do all the baby things. Now that it’s painted, the baby room is finally starting to shape up. It’s got the basic necessities — crib, dresser (once again set up as a changing table), and bookcase. So it’s functional, but pretty plain. Adding some decor is next on my list, along with getting a new seating option for Emma’s room so that we can move the glider into baby’s room.
I do still need to clean out room in a kitchen cabinet for bottles though. I didn’t get that done in July like I’d planned.
Make stuff. I completed both of my “must do” items, so whew! I finished a mini quilt + extra for a Texas-themed swap and mailed the package last week. It was scheduled for delivery yesterday, so I’ll post about it once I’m certain it was received. I also did some quick-and-dirty sewing for the Modern Quilt Guild’s Riley Blake challenge to submit my entry right at the deadline.
