Feeling // Pregnant. Very, very pregnant.
Struggling // With the same sensation I mentioned last week — that everything in life is “on hold.” It did get a bit better after my doctor’s appointment last Thursday. When she told me nothing had really changed, I immediately figured I had at least several more days, which turned out to be true. I had been avoiding my sewing area, but yesterday I finally started working on a new quilt (for my niece).
Enjoying // My mom’s visit immensely. Even though the baby hasn’t arrived yet, she has taken over a lot of Emma duty, which has given my 9-months-pregnant self a very appreciated break from the daily grind.
(Also, we just got that mini couch for Emma’s room last week, and moved the glider into the baby’s room. It came from Wayfair and fits perfectly in her room as a place to sit and read now that she’s starting to outgrow our laps!)
Planning // To work from home a bit this week, and take some leave. I’ve basically wrapped up everything I had on my plate (I even cleared 200 MB of space in my inbox — no small feat) and transitioned ongoing tasks to other people, which leaves me in a weird position of not actually having started maternity leave…but not really having anything left to do at work! So even though it’ll mean taking a bit more unpaid leave in a few months, I’m going to just try to enjoy the downtime in the next few days.
