Size of the Baby: About 6 pounds and 18-19 inches…although if she’s anything like Emma, she’s probably smaller than that. We’ll see! I wouldn’t mind another smallish newborn since I’m sure it made labor easier!
Weight gain/loss: Still hovering ~25 pounds. At the doctor on Monday I’d LOST a pound since my appointment two weeks previously. I swear I am not doing anything on purpose — and I’ve certainly been eating enough ice cream, cake and cookies lately thanks to kids parties and my shower. I think it’s just that I can’t eat much without feeling uncomfortably full.
Maternity clothes: I hope my coworkers haven’t noticed that I’ve just been rotating between the same two pairs of pants for months now.
Sleep: Note to self — go to bed earlier because sleep is about to become crappy for a while. This week has been full of Emma birthday stuff and party prep which has kept me busy in the evenings.
Movement: My doctor confirmed on Monday that her head is down, so hooray! She’s actually in a very similar position to what Emma was at the end — head down, back along my left side, butt up in my ribs, and arms and feet pummeling me on the right side.
Food cravings: No really strong cravings, although I’m still loving Vitamin Water. Jose keeps buying trail mix from HEB, and that’s been seeming really tasty too.
Best moment this week? It was a big week, with the siblings class last Saturday, my baby shower lunch last Sunday and Emma’s birthday yesterday!
What I miss: I am lucky that pregnancy seems to agree with me. I don’t really miss anything, and I don’t really have any complaints. I’m starting to get a little sore if I sit for a long time, and I’m starting to have some lower back stiffness if I’m on my feet for a long time, but otherwise things are feeling fine.
What I’m looking forward to: Emma’s birthday party tomorrow! And some more baby prep this weekend! (What I’m not looking forward to: forecasted 100+ degree temperatures for the next week or so.)
Milestones: I’m officially in the “go to the doctor every week” phase as of this past Monday. My appointment was good, since we found out baby is in position and things are starting to move along. That news actually spurred some minor panic on our part, which led to a flurry of much-needed baby room activity early in the week!

I’m jealous that you handle pregnancy so well. You look amazing. It’s crazy to think that this baby could be here really soon given that Emma was early.

I know. Eeeeeeek.

That’s the exact same position Elizabeth was in. She kicked so much on my right side that I started pushing back on her kicks in the last few weeks because it got uncomfortable!
Sarah says
Yeah, this girl has been hitting some nerves, literally. Ouch!
