Plan Emma’s birthday party. OMG she’s turning 3 in a month! Like last year, I’m still envious of friends whose kids were born in the spring and fall and can have outdoor birthday parties, but oh well. To be totally honest, I’m leaning heavily towards doing the exact same thing we did last year and having the party at a local gymnastics place. (She’ll still love it just as much at 3 as she did at 2, and it was SO easy.)
Do all the baby things. It’s time to buckle down and hit the baby prep hard core, including:
- Finishing up the initial round of her room — which means paint, a bookcase, a few decorations, and either moving the glider from Emma’s room or getting a new one
- Stocking the dresser with baby clothes — which means digging out and sorting through the bins I saved from when Emma was itty bitty
- Clearing space in a kitchen cabinet for bottles and formula
Make stuff. This month’s list “must-do” items are a piece for the Modern Quilt Guild’s Riley Blake challenge and a mini quilt for a Texas-themed swap that I couldn’t resist signing up for.
Whew! It’s gonna be a busy month!
