Loving // This picture of Emma and me on Saturday night. We spent the weekend in Corpus Christi, including an Independence Day evening quinceanera for Jose’s cousin’s daughter Arianna. The party had a Cinderella/princess theme and Emma was a “shadow” dressed as a little fairy princess. She was TOTALLY over the moon about her dress, wings, and magic wand.
(Also, I wore a maternity dress that I swear made me look even more pregnant than the 7 months pregnant I already am, but then in this picture you almost can’t tell? Oh well. Either way, I liked the dress!)
Anticipating // No more travelling for at least 5-6 months, since my doctor recommends not going further than an hour from the hospital from 32 weeks (i.e. this Friday) on, and we won’t be going anywhere with a newborn.
Eating // Trail mix, because I’m starving already after having to come in for a 6 a.m. meeting this morning. For the record, having a 6 a.m. meeting on a Monday after a three-day weekend is just mean.
Thinking // That if someone can publish a book of Star Trek-themed cross stitch patterns and have it sold in an actual bookstore, then I am also capable of writing a book someday! (It’s always been a bit of a pipe dream of mine.) And don’t mistake what I mean — I’m not poking fun at this book. I think it is totally awesome that a book of Star Trek cross stitch patterns exists! There are books on so many wide and varied subject matters that it makes me feel like I could write one too.
Planning // To start hitting the baby prep to-do list hard core now that all of our planned summer travels are over. Two months (give or take) to go!
