Size of the Baby: The size of a large eggplant — or in terms that make a lot more sense, just over 2 pounds and 14-15 inches long.
Weight gain/loss: Holding steady at 20-21 pounds gained…for now.
Maternity clothes: I accidentally put one of my nicer maternity shirts in the dryer and it shrank! I can still wear it for now, but I doubt it will last another 12 weeks. Woe is me.
Sleep: I’ve been trying really hard this week to start heading towards bed around 10:00, and be asleep by 11:00, so sleep was going pretty well until I had to be at work at 6 a.m. yesterday. Now I am tired. But what’s new.
Movement: One night she was moving around a lot, enough to be visible from the outside. I tried to show Emma…who was pretty uninterested, and turned back to her book.
Food cravings: Earlier this week I really wanted something with chocolate, so I finally broke down and make chocolate chip cookies. They were delicious.
Best moment this week? We had a really fun Saturday as a family last weekend. Emma had her morning gym class and we had lunch afterward. After her nap, we went to the pool for the first time this year and had a blast. We ended the day by meeting friends for dinner, where Emma also got a balloon Elmo courtesy of a balloon lady making the rounds at the restaurant. It was a really fun day.
What I miss: Cool spring weather. Because summer is here. And it is hot.
What I’m looking forward to: A family wedding this weekend (Jose’s cousin) and an upcoming vacation!
Milestones: I “get” to go to the doctor every 2 weeks now instead of once a month — fun times. I also spent an hour at the doctor’s office on Wednesday morning for my gestational diabetes screening. Fingers crossed it comes back fine!
