Empty the baby-room-to-be. I’d really like to get the current office/future kid room completely cleaned out and all furniture and stuff moved upstairs by the end of the month. Jose’s mom will be visiting for the last week of May which will give us some extra time to work on this, but even with that, I’ll need to do a little every week — starting now — to make this happen.
Walk at least 3 times per week. I stopped running when I got pregnant…and when first trimester exhaustion hit, I stopped walking too. Now I’m feeling rather slug-like so I’m going to aim for at least three solid walks each week. For me, “solid” means at least 30 minutes, and outdoor vs. treadmill doesn’t matter as long as I do it.
Monthly “make stuff” list. I had to tweak my list last month after unexpectedly getting selected to pattern test a quilt and pillow pattern, but that’s now done so it’s back to my list of more personal sewing. This month I hope to make my mini quilt for the Alison Glass swap and make the baby quilt I’ve been talking about for a couple months (for a friend’s already-born baby, not for mine).
p.s. I forgot to mention it in my April update, but I did check off an item I’d originally listed for March and finally got our front flower beds taken care of! I hired a guy who’d left a flyer on our door one day, it turned out great, and I no longer have to live in fear of an HOA letter…at least for now.

I was going to ask you about your front flower beds when i was there the other day. They do indeed look great, and he planted a lot of plants I know do really well in Houston. Send details – how much did he charge, how much consultation did it require, or did you just say “go do something” or what?
